Home Gym Design

Many people think that you need to spend thousands of dollars on equipment to have a proper home gym.

Home gym design by Micheal Okumura.

I have designed dozens of home gyms ranging in price from $200.00 to $20,000.00. When I started my studio there was only $2600.00 left over after signing my lease. When I did house calls I always found it amusing to see some of the gimmicks people would buy. My sarcasm could never be controlled with statements like "did you buy that off the TV at three in the morning?"

With my design and biomechanics background I have the expertise and fitness resources for any size project. I use Foremost Fitness for all my equipment needs when designing home gyms.

Important questions need to be asked when designing a home gym:

* What is your budget?
* How much space do you have?
* Who will be using the gym?
* How much life do you want out of the equipment?
* Are you worried about maintenance?
* Do you have special needs?
* Are you working with a interior designer?
* Do you have existing pieces?

These are some of the questions that can be addressed with proper consultation.
